Position

SAS has an opening for a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds at our San Antonio locations. 

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for mowing, trimming, pruning, racking and weeding. 
• Water plants and lawns and add fertilizer as needed. 
• Monitor and maintain plant health.
• Remove leaves and unwanted dead or damaged trees as needed. 
• Ensure all lawns are maintained and mowed. 
• Physically walk the property to remove litter and debris. 
• Pick up, sweep, or blow with the gas-blower any clippings or debris. 
• Use a blower to keep the sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush.
• Any other duties assigned.

• Mature, responsible, and self-motivated with a strong work-ethic and follow through
• A self-starter who enjoys taking on new challenges to expand his/her role
• Willing to get involved in anything and everything with an “It Can Be Done” attitude
• Able to multi-task handling several projects, while working independently or with a team
• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, open work-space environment
• Ability to work well with a team or autonomously
• Able to operate Zero Turn mower and weed eaters.
• Able to operate and use landscaping tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to be able to commute to the different jobsites. 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8–10 hours
• Must be able to work in an outside environment. 
• Moderate twisting and lifting throughout the day

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. 

• At least one year of landscaping is preferred, but not required.
